CHICAGO – Three health/fitness centers have signed new leases at three different Chicagoland shopping centers, according to Richard Spinell of Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management Inc., the exclusive leasing representative for the centers.
At Parkview Plaza in Chicago, ATI Physical Therapy leased 5,044 square feet and recently opened a new physical therapy center here. The independent regional chain, based in Bolingbrook, Ill., currently lists 75 locations in the Chicago area. Mid-America Senior Leasing Representative Katie Hennegan represented the landlord in the transaction, with Luke Molloy of Mid-America Real Estate Corporation representing the tenant. The 49,821 square-foot plaza is located on the northwest corner of 31st and Halsted Streets, and is anchored by Unique Thrift Store and Walgreens.
Element Multi Sport opened its first independently owned sporting goods store with a lease for 1,651 square feet at Clybourn Square in Chicago. Mid-America Senior Leasing Representative Kitsy Ritter represented the landlord in the transaction, while the tenant was self-represented. The 21,130 square-foot Clybourn Square is located on the southeast corner of Clybourn and Damen Avenues, and is anchored by Costco Wholesale, Golfsmith Golf & Tennis, and Ulta.
At Glenbrook Market Place in Glenview, independently owned Body Empowered Fitness signed a lease for 1,600 square feet and expects to open in July. This will be a relocation of its Northbrook store. The personal training company also has locations in Highland Park and Buffalo Grove. Mid-America Senior Leasing Representative Katie Hennegan transacted the lease on behalf of the landlord, while Greg Neistat of US Realty Properties represented the tenant. The 62,815 square-foot Glenbrook Market Place is located on the northeast corner of Willow and Pfingsten Roads, and is anchored by Walgreens.
