The Shopping Center Group Delivers Five Mattress Firm Deals

Southeast Retail Experts Represent Tenant

MEMPHIS, TENN — The Memphis office of The Shopping Center Group (TSCG) has completed the negotiation for five new Mattress Firm Inc. locations in Memphis and surrounding communities. Totaling almost 20,000 square feet, these new stores position the Houston, Tex.-based specialty bedding company at prominent retail centers throughout western Tennessee. The retail real estate advisory firm exclusively represents Mattress Firm throughout Tennessee.

Five locations of Mattress Firm have opened or are planned at the following locations throughout eastern Tennessee:

• Centennial Commons: A 4,200-square foot store situated on Winchester Road in southeast Memphis. JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us, JoAnn Fabrics and Office Depot are also located at the 295,000-square foot, regional, power center. The store is set to open in August.
• Ridgeway Trace: A 3,750-square foot store located at the Target-anchored power center, situated on Poplar Avenue in east Memphis. The store is set to open in November.
• Poplar Plaza: A 3,880-square foot store located at the Kroger-anchored neighborhood center, situated on Poplar Avenue in east Memphis. The store opened in March.
• The Pointe Centre: A 3,600-square foot store situated on Germantown Parkway in Cordova, Tenn. Target and Wal-Mart are also located at the 400,000-square foot, regional, power center. The store opened in March.
• The Shops of Forrest Hill: A 3,400-square foot store situated at the Target-anchored power center situated on Poplar Avenue in Germantown, Tenn. The store opened in January.

Reed represented Mattress Firm at all five locations.
