Mid-America Signs AU Sports Memorabilia

NILES, IL.– AU Sports Memorabilia recently signed a lease for 2,324 square feet at Village Crossing in Niles, Ill., according to Richard Spinell, Principal of Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management, Inc., the center’s exclusive leasing representative. The privately owned retailer, a longtime icon on the North Shore, recently relocated from Skokie and re-opened at Village Crossing on April 15. Mid-America Senior Leasing Representative, Mary Beth Menelli represented the landlord in the lease, dealing directly with the tenant.

AU Sports has been in operation since 1980. The retailer carries autographed memorabilia and stocks sports cards, some dating back to the early 20th century. Additionally, AU Sports has hosted guest signings with athletes and celebrities.

Village Crossing is located at 5629 W. Touhy Avenue in Niles, Ill., a North Shore suburb of Chicago. The 273,516-square foot center is anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Jewel/Osco, Grants Appliances & Electronics, and Pier 1 Imports.
