Mid-America Signs Restaurants to 3 Retail Centers in Chicago’s West Suburbs

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL –Richard Spinell, Principal of Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management, Inc., announced a trio of new restaurant leases in Chicago’s western suburbs, all scheduled to open in May or June. Mid-America is the exclusive leasing representative for all three retail centers.

ST. CHARLES (Kane County) -- Main Street Plaza, a 170,868-square foot center in St. Charles, recently signed Billy’s Roadhouse in a lease for 6,689 square feet of space. The local independent restaurant plans to open May 1, 2009, serving American and BBQ fare. Mid-America Senior Leasing Representative Mary Beth Menelli represented the landlord in the lease, dealing directly with the tenant. Main Street Plaza is located on the southeast corner of Main Street (Route 64) and Kirk Road in the heart of the St. Charles retail corridor. Borders, Stein Mart, Office Depot and Cost Plus World Market anchor the center.

AURORA (Kane County) – Boston Market recently renewed their lease for 4,500 square feet at Meridian Retail Center in Aurora, Ill. The privately-owned restaurant chain based in Golden, Colo., currently operates about 530 restaurants in 28 states. Mid-America Vice President Marget Graham represented the landlord in the lease, dealing directly with the tenant. The 161,484-square foot Meridian Retail Center is located on the northwest corner of Route 59 and Liberty Street, and is anchored by PetSmart, and Guitar Center.

DOWNERS GROVE (DuPage County) – Publicly held Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., of Denver, signed a lease for 4,000 square feet at Finley Square in Downers Grove, Ill., with plans to open June 1, 2009. Mid-America Senior Leasing Representative Mary Beth Menelli represented the landlord in the lease, while Steve Frishman of Mid-America Real Estate Corp. represented the tenant. The 310,943-square foot regional mall is anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond, buybuyBABY, PetSmart, Office Max, Grants Appliances Electronics & More, and K & G Fashion Superstore. Finley Square is located on the northeast corner of Finley and Butterfield Roads.
